UMANA Illinois’ 4th plane with over 100 tons of medical supplies landed this past weekend. Special thanks to Chris Manson who facilitated donation of 3 ambulances for this flight (5 total) and to Pat Merryweather, President of Rotary Club. Both were present at the take off! Rotary has been a supporter since the beginning of the war. Nortia Logistics Inc, United Ukrainians, Consulate General of Ukraine in Chicago and Dr Doug Davis UMANA IL/Wisc deserve a special thank you. Also a special thanks to the Polish-American Medical Society in Chicago for their donation of critical medications. The Illinois Chapter had a tremendous outpouring of volunteers and could not have done it without them.
The UMANA Illinois Chapter will now shift it’s focus to purchasing medication and critical supplies for hospitals in Eastern Ukraine. They have partnered with hospitals in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Odesa , Kramatorsk and others.
