Ukraine’s energy needs increase with winter almost here!
Many of the electrical power facilities in Ukraine, including the country’s largest hydroelectric plant, have been destroyed. Over almost three years of war, Russia has systematically targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in an attempt to break the country’s power grid depriving the residents of electricity, heat, water and other essential services in the often-freezing winter temperatures.
WFUMA/UMANA DC hopes to raise $10,000 to purchase 5 small solar generators and 2 larger solar generators (one with battery pack) to aid the front lines with access to electricity. Along with the generators, they plan to send heated gloves and vests.
